Should Students Use Two Languages in School?
The number of people who immigrate to the United States has been increasing, which means the students who attend local elementary schools could have learn in two languages since the immigrant group does not understand the English language well. In this essay, I will look at some of the arguments against bilingual education in schools.
The first reason why I am against using bilingual education is that the United States` mother tongue is the English language. The main citizens of the United States` are Americans not immigrants. Although there are many immigrants from other countries, the citizens of the United States don`t make immigrants come to the U.S.A. Therefore, the students who go to local elementary schools have no duty to study two languages.
Secondly, immigrants need to study the English language. They come to the United States by their own will, so they should try to learn the English language. Also, they need to adapt to their new environment since they choose another country to live in. Even though the immigrant students have difficulties speaking in English, Americans do not need to learn their languages.
Lastly, we have to think about the students who do not want bilingual education in school. Some of the students might not want to study another language even though they have many foreign friends in school. They might wonder why they should learn another language for the immigrant group. In stead, the government could build some schools for immigrants, which could be a more effective way for both the immigrant and non-immigrant groups of students.
In conclusion, I disagree with the idea of using bilingual education in schools. Some people may not want to learn another language in addition to their own language, and there might be other ways to communicate with the immigrant group more effectively.

Should students study abroad when they are under 18 years old?
First, the students who go abroad to study during their secondary education could erode the traditional values of Korea. The students might experience many things abroad as they mature during the ages from 12 to 18, which could affect their character building. Also, their way of thinking could ne affected because the students live in different circumstances than their parents, which might make some gaps between the students and their parents` points of view. Let`s assume that a student gains his/her goal successfully from an educational point of view, but what if he/she could not communicate well with his/her parents because of their different points of view? Can we say that the student gains his/her goal? I don`t think so.
The second reason why I am against studying abroad of students under the age of 18 is because they could fail to adapt their new environment if they are separated from their parents. For example, many parents want their children to get into top universities in the United States, so they chose schools in the East, like in Pennsylvania, for great schools. Students who come attend boarding schools since their parents may not go with them. As a result, the students live alone without their parents, therefore, their parents might not have as much control than the students were home. Some school officials say that it is easier to fail if students are separated from their parents.
Lastly, it is important for parents to understand an educational system of a country in which they want their children to be educated and to understand their children`s interests. Some Korean parents think that studying abroad is absolutely good for education, so they send their children abroad with no knowledge of the other country`s educational system. But there are many differences between Korean and other countries, for instance, students who want to get into universities in the United States should study AP courses while attending in high school whereas in Korea, students don`t need to study extra curriculums. If their parents have no prior information about an educational system, it might be hare for them to suggest what their children should do.
In conclusion, although many parents have chosen to send their children to study abroad when they are under the age of 18, studying abroad is not always a good way to increase the success a children can have. There are many unexpected things that parents should think about before they decide to send their children to study abroad. It is not too late to study abroad when the students are over 18 years old.

Before going to...
Before going to Woo Jae`s house in Wilmington, I didn`t want to swim in the pool. When I arrived at his home with my friends, I changed my mind because the pool was so wonderful and everyone ran into the pool. Everyone got together behind the house and prepared launch. Before going to the Woo Jae`s house, we went to a Korean grocery store to buy some pork, vegetables, and fruits. Lunch was a perfect Korean style because of pork with traditional sauce called Samjang which is Korean traditional sauce made from soybean and usually eats with pork.
