Should terminally ill people be cut off life support?

Everyone has the right to do whatever he/she wants if the act is not harmful to other people. Even though someone is in a persistent vegetative state, he/she might want to die rather than live. Also, family members of the patient might hope to let him/her go. To keep the life of a person who is in a persistent vegetative state, would cost a lot of money because there is no certain time when the medical treatment will end. Also, the family members would suffer pain since they would see all the scenes that happen to the patient like trauma, which can damage the patient`s brain. It is sad both a patient and his/her family not to decide the patient`s opinion by his/her own will, but the patient could want to end the never ending sleep. If there is no possibility to revive at all, unhooking the respirator is the better way than keeping a patient`s condition.
